Biotechnology in the Classroom: a PCR and cloning lab module.
Equipment and reagents for this module are made available on loan through the
Department of Biochemistry, at The University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario Canada.

The kits are supported by a grant from PromoScience andNSERC image

Kit loans are free and teachers are provided with hands-on training in the biotechnology techniques needed to complete the protocols. The modules are designed for use in a high school lab environment and can accomodate up to 10 working groups.

These PCR labs and Cloning experiments fit with the senior levels in Biology as outlined in the Ontario Science and Technology Curriculum.
