2012-2013 COURSE SCHEDULE - MARKS BREAKDOWN
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The objective of the course is to provide the student with the opportunity to experience first hand what research is all about. Students will work with a Faculty member on some aspect of his/her research program. This course is restricted to 4th year Honors students and Scholars Elective students. The 4th year Honors programs have been designed to leave at least each afternoon to work on their projects. Supervisors have spent considerable time devising and organizing the 4th year projects, and so it is essential that students start their projects on time and agree with their supervisors on a work schedule so each knows roughly when the student will be in the laboratory.
Biochemistry/Chemistry Students have the option of taking Chemistry 4491E (formerly Chem4490E) or Biochemistry 4483E (formerly Biochem4491E).
If you choose to take Biochemistry 4483E you have 2 options with regards to registering in the course.
- If you are undecided then we recommend that you wait until September after you have had an opportunity to interview potential supervisors. Either way your spot in 4483E will be guaranteed. OR
- If you have already decided, you can register in the summer.
