Scheduling
• Students who wish to use the NMR instruments should contact the facility to establish a user account and obtain proper training.
Request a New Account
• To schedule training time, send a request to the facility. Include your level of NMR expertise and a brief description how you wish to use NMR experiments for your research.
Schedule Training Time
• To schedule spectrometer time, send an NMR time request to the facility. Your request should include the following information; Description of the molecules to be studied, solvent and buffer conditions, types of NMR experiments to be acquired, number of days required, name of spectrometer and approximate date required. Scheduling will be completed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Book NMR Time
• The NMR spectra can be acquired by individual faculty, postdoctoral fellows or graduate students. If desired collaborations can be arranged.
• From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on every Friday, routine maintenances such as cryogen refilling, pulse calibration, testing of proton line shape and sensitivity will be conducted. Users are able to use the NMR spectrometers before 9:00 AM or after 2:00 PM on Friday.
• Between 2:00 and 5:00 pm on Fridays the spectrometers are available for short experiemts. Those with NMR time beginning on Friday can start as early as 2:00 only if no one is scheduled to use it between 2:00 and 5:00 pm.
• On Helium fill days expect the spectrometers to be ready for use after 5:00 pm.
