Paula P.
Pittock, B.Sc. (Chemistry),
C. Chem
Technician
ppittock@uwo.ca
I joined Prof. Lajoie's team as a Laboratory Technician with a B.Sc.
in Chemistry from McMaster University.
I have over 12 years
of experience in both the Chemical and Pharmaceutical QC/QA
industries.
My responsibilities in the Biological Mass
Spectrometry Lab and in the Peptide Synthesis Lab include
purification and characterization of synthetic peptides and biomolecules by HPLC, MALDI-MS, LC-ESI-MS,
etc. |

Bioinformatics / Software
Development
zye5@uwo.ca
I obtained my M.Sc.
in Computer Science from UWO in 2005.
I am currently
developing new proteomics software using VC++ on data
statistics and analysis. This software will be
implemented for the identification of proteins and peptides
using accurate masses and LC retention times. |

Suya
Liu, Ph.D. (Medical Biochemistry)
Post
Doctoral Fellow, Proteomics
sliu48@uwo.ca
I received my PhD
degree from Karolinska
Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2003. My PhD project was
the analysis of neurosteroids from rat brain using nano
LC/ES/MS. Since then, I have been working as a Post Doctoral
Fellow in Prof. Lajoie's lab.
The joint projects involve proteomics
analysis of IUGR and preeclampsia, protein-ligand interaction
of nuclear receptors, and analysis of surfactant proteins
using mass spectrometry. |

B.Sc. (Biochemistry)
Graduate Student
sbendal@uwo.ca
I came to the Lajoie
lab from the Genome BC Proteomics
Centre at the University of
Victoria. My
graduate work here is co-supervised by Mick Bhatia at the
McMaster Cancer and Stem Cell Research Institute.
When not in the lab I keep myself busy by
warming my favorite stool at
Western's Grad Club. You can
learn more about my escapades from my website. |

Graduate Student
chughe7@uwo.ca
I started in the Lajoie lab after finishing my undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, ON.
I am currently doing research in the field of proteomics for my masters.
